Correct placement of the transducers when vessel is docked:
Transducer(s) hangs easy from a rope on the side and approx. 2-3m deep.
1 transducer up to 30 feet. Double hull 2 transducers
2 transducers up to 60 feet. Double hull 4 transducers
4 transducers up to 150 feet.
Why ultrasound?
The reason the government in many countries are banning the current copper antifouling
is because it creates heavy pollution and does not effectively work as an antifouled.
A few drops of copper are not enough to kill biofilm, bacteria, barnacles or coral worms. Fouling problems are caused by BIOFILM,
it takes only 2 days after a clean boat sits on the water for biofilm to colonize the hull and problem start – biofilm is the food
for barnacles. Another reason to go sustainable except for saving you money and work is because the boat will
keep the same speed and increase fuel consumption.
BIOFILM IS THE CAUSE OF THE PROBLEM
Biofilm is a coating of bacteria and microbes, which develop due to an interaction between the surface and micro-organisms.
